30th Week Update

I am in my 30th week now.  It felt like just yesterday that I uploaded the pic of my positive indicating pregnancy test kit and just with a blink of the eyes, I’m already into my 30th week.  I can be considered heavily pregnant now.  I’ve put on a total of 12kg so far.  Last week, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes… sigh… There goes all my sweet treats….  I’ll just have to let all the mooncakes at home go to waste… I was adviced to control my diet and the diet that the doctor set for me, sounded really boring and tasteless 😦   Fortunately it’s just another 2.5 months away from my EDD.

I’ve a bad feeling Beanie will arrive much earlier than Dec.  Dec was 2+ weeks early.  I’m experiencing irregular contractions these few days.  Dr Lui thinks that it is acutally premature labour contractions.  I don’t remember experiencing contractions that early with Declan.  This time, not only did the contractions came early, when it happen, the contractions can be quite strong sometimes.  Hopefully, the medication can subdue the contractions, if not I’m afraid I may be put on bed rest……..

Let’s hope Beanie will behave and stay in there till full term.

Cheeky Pics

Manage to snap some pics while Dec was fooling around with his singlet.  This boy is just so funny at times.

I particularly like the 2nd pic.  He’s lost his baby looks but the 2nd pic somehow reminded me of how he looks like when he was a younger baby.  Time really flies, the little dependent baby has now grown into a mischevious independent toddler.  He can be really naughty at times but he does have his sweet moments.  Like when I told him that I scratched my leg because I fell down (of course it’s not true, just  kidding him), he said :” Next time I will hold your hands.”  While walking along the road and he hear a car approaching, he’ll call out to me :” Mummy be careful.”

I’ll be going for my gynae check tomorrow, afterwhich I will give some updates on Beanie.

Love bite

Nowadays kids really start everything early.  Few months back Dec got a “love bite” from a little girl in his class on back of his palm.  His teacher was so anxious about it and immediately called me to apologise and said that it was due to her overlook that resulted in the little girl having a chance to sink her teeth into Dec’s hand.  I ended up having to calm her to tell her it’s alright and this kinda thing do happen among kids.

I’m those mum who choose not to be overprotective, probably because mine is a boy.  Poor kid, got a “unsupportive” mum :p  To me so long as the girl don’t club him on the head, I am actually quite fine with it.  I prefer to let them go sort things out on their own.

Yesterday afternoon, the teacher sms me to inform me Dec got bitten again and by the same girl.  The first time he cried, this time he didn’t.  Again the teacher apologised and informed that she has applied medication for him.

Can you see the mark? I think my little boy must have looked so tasty that the classmate can’t help but take a bite. Or hmmm maybe it was my retribution.  I remembered when I was in K1, I actually bit a little boy sitting next to me on the cheeks for no reason.  We were just going through our lesson and I turned and his cheeks seem to be staring at me real hard!  I swear!!  I couldn’t resist it so I just “chomp!” and bit him on the face.  Of course I got a good spanking from my mum when I got home…… So fierce hor my mother……………

Balloon Loony

Last week was my company’s family day.  Unlike the one last year which was organized by my comrades, this year’s programme and stalls seems less interesting.  Or maybe it just my own personal bias opinion. *shrugs*

Anyway I brought both men down to show support.  The little man was interested in nothing else except balloons.  My comrade was “part timing” as a balloon sculpter and my little man was busy acting as her assistant.  Of course he was not of much help, indeed he was a little disruptive I would say.

He ended up hijacking the headgear that my colleague was wearing as balloon sculpter..  Oh yah, you may have noticed that he looked kind of unkempt, with his shirt all crumpled.  Please pardon us, he spilled milo on himself and we pulled this standby shirt out of his bag.   Better to wear a crumpled shirt than a dirty shirt.

I must say this little fellow really got guts.  I brought him up to my office, when he bump into my COO, he look up at her and ask :” What are you doing here?”  She didn’t really know how to answer him.  So I mediated and told my little man off.  “Hello, you are guest and this lady is the owner of the house, she should be asking you what you are doing here…”  *sweat*….
