Their Little Hands

Though Declan very often handled Kenji a little too roughly for the little chap’s and our liking.  We all know (including little Kenji) that the korkor actually quite sayang his little brother.  How else to doubt his love for his little brother when even while the little boy is sleeping and he himself is getting drowsy at the back of the car, he didn’t forget to give his little brother a little warmth by holding on to his little hands.

Hope both will grow up holding each other hands and helping each other out when either of them need some  assurance from each other.

Weekend in the East

No prize for getting it right that we are at East Coast Park again.  ECP is one of our favorite weekend haunt.  Since I went to TP HQ to replace my license, no reason why we shouldn’t be dropping by ECP since we are so near.

This lastest trip to ECP was by far one of my most inactive trip…. All because my dear Kenji boy knocked out right after lunch at Burger King…  He tends to perspire alot, thus, I chose to stay put in BK (got air con mah) to wait till he wakes up, while Kiat bring Declan out for his mini car and bicycle ride.  Not sure whether that was a right choice as I basically sat there for more than 2 hours.. with just my mp3 songs from my handphone and a few ID magazines to tide me through the 2+hours… *yawn*…..

The below pics that Kiat brought back was evident that Declan really enjoyed himself, as usual.  He simply loves ECP, especially the Bedok Jetty where he can see all the uncles fishing and he loves browsing through their catches.

Very girly right the car??? The dad explained that the pinky was supposed to be one of the fastest moving among the whole lot.  ok forgiven then… The ride was quite reasonably priced, at only $5 for a 15mins ride.  I saw a dad put a young baby (probably 9-10mth old) in one of this and moved the car by remote control!  Cool right?! of course the baby was safely strapped down with safety belt.  I wanted to put Kenji in one too!!! But too bad.. he fell asleep…

That was him right before he set off for his long ride to Bedok Jetty.  Can you imagine the dad actually walked the whole journey while the boy was paddling along??!!

He loves fishes – be they dead or alive.  He’s always very intrigue by them.  If you don’t pull him away, I bet he can stay there till the sun set.  The dad told me they saw something interesting.  They actually saw a tiny octopus in one of the boxes.  Still alive!

Can you see it clearly???  So cute right???  awwww.. how I wish I was with them so that I get to see it too…

The poor boy came back to BK with some scratches on his knee.  The dad told me he fell off the bike.  The brave boy, didn’t even whine to me.  When I tried to clean his wound he did squirm a little.  I didn’t dare to exert too much pressure for fear that it’ll be painful for him.  Ended up –  he must be thinking the mummy was such a looser, he asked for a wet tissue from me and and wipe off the blood from the wound himself :p  Tough boy I’ve got there!

That’s his momento from the trip.  Not too bad actually.

Ohh and while I was waiting at BK for the duo to return, I bumped into Baby Darius and family.  Forgot to ask to take a picture together…. wasted!!

Other than the east coast trip.. this week I’ve dragged the 3 men to Singapore Expo thrice.  Once for the Megatex Fair where we got our LCD TV in prep for the new house, once to check out the IDs in the exhibition and the last to shop in Metro and Popular Warehouse Sales.  Guess the dad won’t wanna drive from AYE to ECP again for the next few weeks 😡

The Great Exchange

We ended the day with Kenji sleeping in the single bed beside ours and Declan in our bed.  We woke up to find Kenji on our bed and Declan in the single bed.  ???? how did that happen??

The dad said that in the middle of the night, the elder one tumbled into the younger one’s bed.  The younger one got irritated, whine whine whine and crawled out of the single bed and plonked himself at where the elder one suppose to be sleeping.  Continue to whine a little before falling asleep again.

The best part was I didn’t even realise the above happened 😡  I slept through it like a dead man.

My Naked Men

45-logo3The Men in my house share the same habits.  Other than the same sleeping pose which I posted some time ago, when awake, they share the love of being half naked.  Before all your minds run wild I must emphasize that it is top half naked not the bottom half ok??!

While I was busy on my computer yesterday, the 3 men was happily taking shots of themselves using my handphone camera.  Declan only surrendered my handphone back to me after the memory became full.  Full of their half naked pics. hahaha.  Below is a collection of their modelling effort.

Unlike the genetic sleeping habit, I don’t have this habit of course!! Otherwise I’ll probably end up in jail for indecent exposure.

45-logo2As the title denotes, I am moving and we are moving too.

When I say I am moving, I am referring to the fact that I’ll be moving in terms of my career.  I’ve gotten a new job!  I pretty dislike the current working environment and it makes me unhappy.  Thus I decided to move on.  The change will take place in Feb 2009.  Upon letting my boss knows about my possible moves, some carrots were dangled in front of me.  Pretty tempting… but after much consideration, I decided to stick on to my decision.

Now let’s talk about the next move.  We are moving!  This is really a premature move.  I plan to move to Clementi, nearer to the time when Dec needs to enrol for Primary 1.  That is gonna happen in 2011.  For the sake of convenience as well as to have a better chance to get into Henry Park Primary, we thought the move will be apt.

Currently, we transit between Clementi (mil’s place) and Boon Lay daily.  That equates to extra travelling time, extra money spent on petrol, extra money spent on season parking (we got season tix for mil’s place as well) and of course less sleep…

hmmmm as I write my post and started counting, I realise the move may not be as premature as I thought it was.  By the time we finalise our move, it’ll be around mid 2009 and that’s about 1.5 years away from Dec’s primary school enrolment.  Which is just nice for us to do volunteer/grassroots work in prep for the enrolment.  ha! Heaven is on my side.

The viewings were unintentional.  We were bitten by the viewing bug as both Kiat’s brothers are planning their move as well.  Very often, our daily chit chat with mil will encompass around so and so is planning to sell their house, why don’t you guys go and view and see if you guys like the unit?  If you guys like it, might as well buy it.  With the daily psycho, I finally picked up the classified ads and rang up a couple of agents to arrange for viewing.

Kiat was not keen at all in this whole hunting process.  He’s feeling very comfy in the present flat and Dec’s primary school need has not set in for him yet.  So, I pretty much have to drag him along.  First 2 viewings came and go, and he is still showing no hype nor interest.  However, things changed when we viewed the 3rd unit.  At the door step, I already nudged him and whispered :” I’m quite sure you’ll like this unit.”  True enough, he couldn’t even wait to get out of the unit to have a discussion and insisted he wanted to confirm the purchase!  What a big turn of event!

With that decision, we negotiated with the seller’s agent and appointed him our agent as well.  We decided to engage him to sell our current flat so that we can proceed with the purchase of the clementi unit.

The whole thing started in October 08.  As of now, we’ve got a good news and a bad news.  Good news is, we have sold our flat.  Bad news is, we didn’t get a fantastic price due to the urgency of the sale.  We sold it only at valuation.   The only consolation is our valuation price was pretty good.

With the selling of our old place and the buying of the new place.  The next phase will be dressing up our new place!!  yeah!!! it’s exciting!! Will do a post soon on what are the ideas I like.

Taking a Pic

I’ve come to realise it’s really a tough task to take a good picture with both kids together.  Somehow. they’ll not be able to coincide their actions.  It’s worse when we have a not so stable cameraman.  Just look at the following pictures :

Picture 1 : Manage to get Dec to look into the camera but don’t lnow what happen to didi….. can’t see his face… can only see his botak head..

Picture 2 : Got both boys to sit up but didi wasn’t looking at the camera… even if didi was looking into the camera, this picture won’t turn out good as it was blurry…lousy cameraman?

Picture 3 : Thought finally we can get a decent shot… but as the cameraman clicked…. didi decide to stray away……..

Last Attempt : We got everyone to lie down.  End product : Picture not blurry (at least), can see everyone’s face, but only I am looking at the camera and the angle makes me look chubby on the face !%*)@&&! …… the 2 boys were looking at each other.

That’s the best we manage to get out of that “exercise”… was actually thinking about getting a proper studio shot family pic.. but looking at our mini “exercise”.. I’ll postpone the idea till both boys know how to co-operate with the camera man.

Pouty Lips

Look at the boy, does he look different?

Look at the pout that he is spotting….  I didn’t bring him for any cosmetic injection to make him look like a male version of Angelina Jolie…  His upper lip simply just swell up for no reason… It happened last evening…  For those that watch the recently ended drama serial “The Ten Brothers”, his lips will probably remind you of No. 9 among the ten brothers :p

Brought him to consult a doctor.  Doctor ruled out trauma after inspecting the interior of his mouth.  No wound, no signs of fall either.  He was not in pain nor discomfort.  Doctor deduced that the swell was probably due to an allergic reaction.  Most likely contact allergy.

We raked our brain but just couldn’t think of anything that he had eaten nor come into contact with that might be the cause.  Since it is not life threatening, Doctor assured us that we should not be too concern.  So he was sent home without any medication.

When we sent him to school today, we informed the teacher of his pout.  The teacher take a look and him and chirp :” Never mind!  Still look handsome!” haha
